Take a Deep Breath on the Hurricane
Heat, dust, and a festive atmosphere—things often get pretty intense at the Hurricane Festival. To ensure that no one runs out of breath in the event of a medical emergency, the German Red Cross (DRK) provides rapid assistance. This year, they’ve brought along an ingenious upgrade: our specially developed oxygen tank trolley.
At the festival grounds, DRK paramedics are on duty around the clock. For immediate first aid, the responders carry portable 2-liter oxygen tanks with them at all times. However, if more intensive follow-up care is needed, patients are taken to the DRK treatment tent. And this is exactly where the new innovation comes into play.
Compact, secure, flexible: The new all-in-one solution
The German Red Cross provides medical care at the Hurricane festival and, most recently, has been using the Amptown oxygen tank trolley
Until now, large oxygen tanks were often stored in a bulky manner inside the emergency vehicle or haphazardly in a tent—making them difficult to access and impractical when time was of the essence. Furthermore, providing oxygen to multiple people at the same time was extremely complicated.
Our new trolley solves this problem in one fell swoop:
A Hefty Load: It transports two 10-liter oxygen cylinders safely, conveniently, and in a flash.
Multiple-Patient Supply: Thanks to an integrated distributor, multiple patients can now be supplied with oxygen simultaneously.
Efficient workflow: It is now also possible to conveniently refill the small 2-liter refill bottles right on site.
The bottom line: The German Red Cross benefits from a compact, safe means of transport and significantly easier handling. We’re glad that this design allows us to play a part in ensuring a safe festival!
